I am a former nurse, now a stay at home Mama and a total tree hugger convert. Married to Jim and Mama to two little tree hugger boys. We are from northern Illinois and have lived in South Louisiana, Guam, Saipan and now Juneau, Alaska. I love being a Coast Guard family.
I love to create. Is that simple enough? I have taught myself how to knit, sew, and cross stitch. Mom taught me how to embroider and crochet. I enjoy all things crafty, especially thrifting and re-purposing.
I wear birkenstocks, I cloth diaper, I breastfeed and am very liberal. Crunchy-granola sums me up.

I loved the knitted stocking caps you had made for the boys at Christmas. Would you share the pattern?

Missy, would you please email me and offer your WordPress knowledge/advice??? I’ve started a new blog and have several exciting things I want to share, but pictures aren’t appearing correctly. I don’t know why. Do you have any suggestions. I don’t know many bloggers who use WordPress and your assistance is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks Missy!

Hello!
Just found your blog via Lolly Knitting Around. I would love, love to see some of your hand dyed yarns. Do you just sell locally in Juneau – or can you sell / ship in state?
I look forward to hearing from you.

I found you on twitter, and I love your blog. Though I live in Alabama, I feel like we have a whole lot of other things in common: I have a 4 y.o. boy, I wear birks, cloth diapered, and breastfed, and I am in a similar place to you with knitting/very early designing/love of other needle-oriented craft work. I’m behind you on dyeing, though am working on it!
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. Great blog!

Fellow knitter here, just dropping by to say I love your blog! I’ve visited Alaska and it was my absolute favorite place. I’d love to live there some day.
